Designation of Origin (DO):
Wines made in the Region with grapes from that area. They have special characteristics that can only be achieved thanks to the geographical environment in which they have been produced. They must enjoy high prestige and at least five years must have elapsed since the wine was recognized as a product of that area.
Quality Wine with geographical indication (VC):
The grapes for these wines must have the same origin and the wine must be produced in the region.
Wine de Pago (VP):
These are wines of recognized prestige that come from a pago, which is a farm with a microclimate different from that of its surroundings.
